Bidayuh Golf Tournament 2011 will be held at The Sarawak Golf and Country Club, UNIMAS on 28th May and 29th May 2011 respectively. Due to popular demand both games will be played in the morning preceded by lunch and prize-giving.
Tournament fee for the 28th May is only RM50 and that amount is inclusive of prizes, green fees, buggy fees, meals and lots of goodies. Part of the collection shall be donated to charity. Also known as Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit Gawai Golf Invitational (DDJDMGGI…alamak panjang nye!), this tournament is generously sponsored by Deputy Minsiter of Tourism, YB Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit.
There will be many invited guests for this DDJDMGGI tournament.
For the 29th May will be of course our very own annual Wolrd Bidayuh Golf Championship 2011, (WBGC), sponsored by YB Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong, Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister. WBGC has a rather long history and the competition is fierce. To prove my point, JS has strongly declined the offer to be the MC for this year citing a desire to win and that his talent as MC should be translated into winning golf tournament. Good luck JS.
The fee for the WBGC is an approved RM80 only and this is inclusive of, well, more of the same…prizes, green fees, buggy fees, meals and lots of goodies.
Other details are not yet available at time of writing but it is fair to speculate that WBGC 2011 should be yet another grand spectacle for the Bidayuh community second only to the General Election 2011.
